LYNCHBURG, Va. – On Thursday & Friday, the High Point University men's track and field team competed at the 6
th Annual Brant Tolsma meet at Liberty University. The Panthers competed against some competitive programs throughout the two days.
"Great experience today for our kids to be in an invite only meet with some of the best teams in the ACC, along with NAU," Head Coach
Mike Esposito. "On the men's side,
Caleb Barley is figuring things out and getting better by the day. can't say enough about the job Coach Hall and Coach Post are doing with our throwers. JJ in the pole vault is really starting to emerge. He is jumping at national caliber bars, it has a chance to do some really special things. We have one of the top five men's pole vault groups in the country. Coach Houston just continues to get it done. I have to give a shout out to
AJ Miller in the 800m as well. He does all the right things and just gets rewarded with the results. Big weekend coming up for us as majority go to Virginia Tech, but the remainder of the team runs right next-door in Winston at JDL. Excited to get on that new oval."
Majority of the action took place on Friday. Two Panthers won their respective events at the meet while multiple athletes posted new personal bests.
AJ Miller won the men's 800m with a 1:52.03 time.
