This will be the Panthers' eighth matchup with The Herd and the first at Vert Stadium since 2016. The Panthers are looking for their first win over The Herd under Head Coach
Zach Haines as this will be the third meeting in as many years.

In both matchups, the Panthers traveled to Huntington, West Virginia, falling 2-1 in 2023 and 2-0 last season. This go-around, Haines and the Panthers finally host The Herd in High Point for the first time in nearly a decade and for the fourth time ever.

The Panthers are playing for their third victory in program history over Marshall, which would prove to be the second-highest ranked win after beating No. 1 Pittsburgh on the road in 2024, 1-0.

All time, High Point is 2-5 against The Herd with wins at Marshall in 2001 (2-1) and at home in 2016 (1-0). The first meeting was in 2000 on High Point's campus.
