CHARLOTTE, N.C. — High Point University's Makayla Grubb has been named the Big South Conference Women's Golf Freshman of the Week for the second time, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Grubb tied for fifth at the Lady Paladin Invitational (par 72, 6,125 yards) with a 5-under 211 (69-69-73). She sunk nine birdies, was 6-under on the par-5 holes, and had a tournament-best 41 pars. Grubb was HPU's top scorer and led the Panthers to a runner-up finish in the 16-team event.

Grubb and the Panthers now head to the Pat Bradley Invitational Monday, Sept. 29 through Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Miami, Fla.
