CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference announced the 2025 Preseason Women's Volleyball All-Conference Awards and Preseason Poll on Tuesday afternoon. The High Point University volleyball team was voted in a two-way tie with Winthrop as the No. 1 preseason favorite after winning the 2024 Big South Tournament. This is the Panthers ninth consecutive season being voted No. 1.

Note: points are based on a weighted system, with first-place votes receiving 8 points, followed by 7 points for second-place, and so on.
HPU finished the 2024 season with a 23-7 overall record and a 13-1 record in league play. The Panthers were crowned the regular season and tournament champs after defeating Winthrop in a five-set rally at the Millis Center. Earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament, HPU traveled out to Oregon to face the Ducks in the first round of the tournament.
The Panthers travel to Duke University on Friday, August 22nd for a preseason exhibition at 7:00pm. HPU begins their regular season at the DoTerra Classic for the second consecutive season hosted by BYU during the weekend of August 28 through August 30.
