HIGH POINT, N.C. -
Seojun Oh of the High Point University baseball team was named to Baseball America's Week 7 National Team of the Week.
Oh was named Baseball America's catcher on the Week 7 National Team of the Week after leading all catchers nationally in home runs. Oh batted .529 (9-for-17) with four home runs and nine RBI while scoring seven runs in High Point's perfect 4-0 week. He posted a 1.294 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage, adding a double, two walks and a hit-by-pitch. The junior recorded two three-hit games and delivered a pair of multi-homer performances in the weekend series at Gardner-Webb. He opened the series Friday with a 3-for-3 effort that included a double, three RBI and one run scored. Oh followed by going 2-for-4 with two home runs and one RBI on Saturday before finishing 3-for-6 with two solo shots and three runs scored Sunday. He also added a hit and a run in High Point's 3-2 midweek win at App State.
The honor roll features one player at every position, including the top-performing two-way player, and four pitchers. It also includes a designated hitter spot, which serves as a wild card to recognize an outstanding performer at any position, regardless of whether he served as a DH that week.
