SAVANNAH, Ga. – The High Point University Panthers took a trip down south to Savannah, Georgia for a neutral site game with Jacksonville University. After 60 minutes of battle at Memorial Stadium, the Panthers fell 11-9.

In the first five minutes of the game, the Panthers went down 3-0 before dropping in the teams first goal.
Colin Cooke netted the first goal followed by an
Owen Bunten goal at the 7:26 mark. Both goals were unassisted to make it 3-2.
Before the end of the first quarter,
Ian Cann found Bunten for his second goal of the game to make it a one goal game, 4-3.
The Panthers matched goals with the Dolphins in the second quarter as each team scored three to close out the first half. High Point trailed 7-6. During the three-goal sequence, freshman
Asher Stull recorded his first collegiate goal in a High Point jersey off a pass from
Justin Wixted.
Bunten opened the third quarter with his fourth goal of the day after
Luca Accardo won the first faceoff of the half, to tie the game at seven all. Jacksonville followed up with a quick goal which sparked a four goal run.
High Point trailed 11-7 with 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. The Panthers were unable to get a goal to drop until the final minute of action as
Carson Robins and Bunten scored back-to-back goals. HPU fell in the end 11-9.
Bunten matched his career-high with five goals off nine shots to lead the game. Accardo led the day with 10 ground balls while going 15-for-21 on the faceoff.
