CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The High Point University men's and women's indoor track and field teams were voted No. 1 in the annual Big South Conference preseason poll, which was announced Wednesday afternoon (December 3) for the 2024-25 indoor track season. Both men's and women's teams were voted first for the fourth consecutive season after winning the 2024-25 Big South Indoor Championships.
The HPU women received all eight first-place votes and 64 points to win the championship this season, while Charleston Southern was picked second with 55 total points, nine points behind the Panthers. The Panther men also received all eight first-place votes and 64 points, 12 points ahead of second-place Charleston Southern with 52 points.

High Point kicks off the season this Thursday, December 4 for a two-day meet at the Liberty Kick-Off hosted by Liberty University. A select group of Panthers will also compete at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Sunday, December 7 in Boston, Massachusetts.
