CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – The Big South Conference announced the seedings for the 2025 Big South Volleyball Tournament on Friday evening. The High Point University Panthers were picked as the No. 2 seed after being crowned co-regular season champions with Winthrop University. The Panthers shared the Big South regular-season championship with a 12-2 league record. The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the league's postseason championship, which will be contested November 21-23 at the Millis Athletic Center on the campus of High Point University.
 
High Point and Winthrop (12-2) tied for first in the final standings, and the Eagles clinched the top seed with its season sweep of the Panthers. The No. 2-seeded Panthers are seeking their third-straight Big South title, while Winthrop will look to win its first conference tournament championship since 2019. Both squads earn byes into the semifinals in the six-team championship format, and open postseason play on Saturday, November 22.  
 
Charleston Southern ended 8-6 in league action for third-place in the standings and the No. 3 seed -- the Bucs' highest finish since the 2021 Spring season. UNC Asheville and USC Upstate tied for fourth-place in the Big South at 7-7, and the Bulldogs clinched the No. 4 seed with their 2-0 season sweep of the Spartans to push Upstate into the fifth seed. Radford finished in sixth-place at 5-9 for the sixth and final seed.
 
The 2025 Big South Volleyball Championship begins Friday, Nov. 21, with No. 4 UNC Asheville vs. No. 5 USC Upstate in the opening match at 3:00pm, followed by No. 3 Charleston Southern and No. 6 Radford at 6:00pm. Saturday's semifinal schedule will begin with No. 1 seed Winthrop against the winner of Asheville/Upstate at 3:00pm, and concludes with No. 2 seed and host High Point vs. the Charleston Southern/Radford winner at 6:00pm. All five matches of the tournament will be broadcast on ESPN+, and the Big South's tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Championship.
