CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the third time this season, High Point University swept the Big South Conference Women's Golf weekly awards as Eva Lye was named Big South Golfer of the Week and Makayla Grubb was garnered with Big South Freshman of the Week, as the league announced on Thursday.

Lye earns her first Big South Golfer of the Week and second overall, while Grubb earns her third Big South Freshman of the Week and fourth straight accolade. The freshman duo was named to the Pirate Collegiate Classic All-Tournament Team with top-5 finishes.

Lye tied for third with a 6-under par 210 (72-70-68) for her highest collegiate finish. She was the top finisher among the 23 Big South competitors in the event, and led the 87-player field with 16 birdies. Lye ranked second overall in par-4 scoring (-3) and was also 3-under on the par-5 holes.
 
Grubb tied for fifth at the Pirate Collegiate Classic with a 5-under par 211 (69-72-70) for her conference-leading third Top 10 finish of the season. She tied for second in par-3 scoring at 2.83 (-2), tied for sixth on the par-4 layouts and was 5-under on the par-5 holes. Grubb had 11 birdies across her 54 holes, and helped the Panthers to a runner-up finish in the 15-team field.

Up Next: The Panthers have a couple weeks off before concluding their fall slate at the White Sands Bahamas Tournament in Paradise Island, Bahamas on Friday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 26.
