Charlotte, N.C. – On Monday afternoon, the Big South Conference released the Volleyball Players of the Week for the week of September 29 through October 5. Élodie Lalonde received her first Player of the Week award in her career after having an all-around strong performance in both matches over the weekend. This was HPU's first player of the week award this season.
 
The outside hitter averaged 4.11 kills per set and 4.72 points per set in HPU's two games. She led both games in kills with 19 against Winthrop, hitting .359, and 18 against Gardner-Webb, hitting .417, making it her third weekend this season with double-digit kills in back-to-back games. She also registered her third game this season hitting over .400 in the win over GWU. On the block she totaled seven blocks and posted a career-high five blocks against GWU. She rounded out the weekend combining for 12 digs and two service aces.
 
High Point continues conference play and will welcome Charleston Southern to the Millis Center for a matchup at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10.
