HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Big South Conference has announced its weekly award winners for the week of October 19 to October 26 as High Point University's Aubrey McKessy was named Defensive Player of the Week. 

McKessy started in net this past weekend for High Point as they held on for the 3-0 victory over Gardner-Webb University on senior day. McKessy tallied her third clean sheet of the season and pushed her career saves total to 100 in her two years representing the Panthers. 

McKessy faced nine shots against the Runnin' Bulldogs, making four saves en route to a shutout victory on Saturday afternoon. 

High Point is back in action at Winthrop University on Wednesday, October 29 at 6:00 p.m.
