CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced the volleyball players of the week on Monday afternoon. High Point University's Maya Bukovcan was named the Co-Freshman of the Week after a consistent weekend in the middle for the Panthers. This was Bukovcan's second Freshman of the Week award this season.
 
Last week Bukovcan averaged 3.07 points per set and 2.43 kills per set to help HPU defeat Charleston Southern and Presbyterian. She had a consistent performance throughout the weekend on the attack, hitting a combined .517. She posted a weekend high 12 kills versus Presbyterian while hitting .550. Across both games she added five blocks, two service aces and a dig.
