CHARLOTTE, N.C. — High Point University swept the Big South Conference weekly awards as
Anna Howerton took home Golfer of the Week and
Anais Arafi was named Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference Thursday afternoon.
Howerton is awarded golfer of the week for the first time this season. Howerton was a steady leader for the majority of the tournament, climbing into the top-5 and putting together a pair of 1-under-par 71 rounds at the Lady Paladin Invitational. Howerton finished her final round off with a 4-under-par 68. She finished fourth overall.
Arafi received her second Big South Conference weekly award. Arafi had a new collegiate low score for the third round with a 2-under-par 70 as an individual. Arafi carded six impressive birdies to finish out the Lady Paladin Invitational in round three. She tied for 31st overall.
