HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point men's lacrosse celebrated a senior night win under the lights on Friday night with a victory over St. Bonaventure, 18-7.
HPU recognized 22 seniors before the opening face-off. Three seniors combined for 11 of the teams 18 goals, led by
Brayden Mayea with five. His fifth goal of the night eclipsed the all-time career goal scoring record in program history. The previous record was held by Dan Lomas who played in the High Point jersey from 2013-2016.
"It's a conference win," Head Coach
Jon Torpey stated. "St. Bonaventure is a good, scrappy team and I have all the respect in the world for their coach. I'm proud of the way the guys came out tonight. Everyone knows that the slow starts have been haunting us in the last couple games so it was good to see the guys come out and play with good tempo and execute early."
