Radford, Va. – The High Point University women's basketball team kept the teams win streak alive with a win on the road at Radford University. Dominating in the second half, the Panthers were able to stretch the lead to secure the 67-50 win.

High Point worked the floor and pushed the pace, finding multiple back door opportunities in the first quarter.
Nakayah Terrell directed the team from the top and found two players cutting baseline for easy layups from
Faith Price and
Shakira Baskerville.
Helping extend the Panthers lead to five,
Lauren Bevis knocked down a three from the wing after
Callie Scheier found her cross court. A quick catch and shoot made it 14-9.
HPU led 14-11 after the first quarter but went cold through five minutes of the second quarter, which led Radford to retake the lead.
Terrell tied the game at 19 all with a strong drive down the right side of the lane.
Radford made a run and took a six point lead, the largest between the teams through 15 minutes of play the game. The Highlanders kept attacking the Panthers defense to keep a lead.
Bukky Akinsola blew by her defender to make it 24-27 followed by two free throws from Scheier before the break. HPU trailed 31-26 at the half.
After going down seven in the first minute of the third quarter, HPU found a groove and went on a 12-3 run.
Cydney Johnson started the run with a three from the wing, followed by a steal from Price in the next possession.
A three from
Nevaeh Zavala put the Panthers back on top since the start of the second quarter.
Feeling the momentum, Bevis caught fire from deep, knocking down three straight threes to keep the Panthers ahead 44-38.
Before the end of the third, Price knocked down two free throws and Terrell secured a layup at the horn to lead 51-38.
In the fourth quarter, the teams traded baskets, but High Point held the lead knocking down free throws in the end to secure the 67-50 win.
Bevis led the day with 18 points going 3-for-7 from three-point range while Terrell picked up 14 points going 5-for-14 from the field.
