CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference released the men's basketball conference slate for the 2024-25 campaign. The High Point Panthers will take on each of the other eight Big South opponents twice through the months of January to March. The conference regular season will end on March 1, before the 2025 Hercules Tires Big South Men's & Women's Basketball Championships, which will be hosted in Johnson City, Tennessee at Freedom Hall.
 
The games will remain on a Wednesday and Saturday schedule throughout the two months. The Panthers will have bye games on Wednesday, January 29 and Saturday, March 1.
 
High Point opens the season at home on January 2 to kick-off the conference season with a matchup against Radford. The Panthers and Highlanders have battled 57 times since 1980 as HPU faced Radford three times last season with the inclusion of a quarterfinals win in the Big South Tournament.
 
The Panthers hit the road for two back-to-back away games, first at UNC Asheville for the Bulldogs conference opener on Saturday, January 4 and then at Charleston Southern on Wednesday, January 8 for a mid-week matchup. The Panthers and Bulldogs first met in 1967 and will meet again for the 65th time. In 2023-24, HPU and UNCA split games as both teams won on their home courts. As for the matchup at CSU, High Point has played against the Buccaneers every season since joining the Big South and will face each other for the 51st time in the last 25 years.
 
The Panthers return home to host Gardner-Webb on January 11 for one of four home games in the month of January. HPU and GWU have matched up 69 times since 1970.
 
High Point makes its first trip to Virginia on January 15 for a game against the Longwood Lancers. This will be the 46th matchup between the Panthers and Lancers.
 
The Qubein Center will host Presbyterian on January 18 for the 37th meeting between the two teams since 1943. The Panthers will then travel to USC Upstate on Wednesday, January 22 before hosting Winthrop on Saturday January 25 for HPU's last game in January. It will be High Point's 16th meeting with the Spartans and the 56th meeting with the Eagles.
 
The month of February kicks off the second half of conference play, with HPU traveling to Presbyterian and Radford on Saturday, February 1 and Wednesday, February 5. The Panthers will return to High Point to host UNC Asheville and Longwood on Saturday, February 8 and Wednesday, February 12.
 
On Saturday, February 15 HPU will play at Winthrop before hosting Charleston Southern on Wednesday, February 19.
 
The Panthers split a home and away game to end the conference regular season, first traveling to Gardner-Webb on Saturday, February 22 before hosting USC Upstate on Wednesday, February 26 for the last game of the regular season.
 
The 2025 Hercules Tires Big South Men's & Women's Basketball Championships, hosted in Johnson City, Tennessee at Freedom Hall will begin on March 5.
