CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference announced the weekly awards for the week of August 29 through September 4, naming High Point's Eve Wilson to the list. Wilson was named the co-freshman of the week along with Brenna Rowland from Charleston Southern. This is Wilson's first Big South weekly award.
 
Wilson combined for 29 kills and 13 blocks at the Army Invitational this past weekend in West Point, New York. Overall, she went for a .508 hit percentage after going 29-for-57 in three matches. She led the team against Army in the team's final game, collecting a season-high 11 kills for a .529 (11-for-17) hit percentage. Wilson's seven blocks against Liberty tied her previous season-high from a week earlier versus UMBC. She added three digs and one service ace.
 
Following the tournament, Wilson was named to the All-Tournament team after a solid outing.

The last time an HPU volleyball player won the Big South Freshman of the Week was October 18, 2021.
