CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference released the men's basketball conference slate for the 2023-24 campaign. The High Point Panthers will take on each of the other eight Big South opponents twice through the months of January to March. The conference regular season will end on March 2, before the 2024 Hercules Tires Big South Men's & Women's Basketball Championships, which will be hosted at the Qubein Center in High Point, North Carolina.
The games will remain on a Wednesday and Saturday schedule throughout the two months. The Panthers will have bye games on Saturday, January 13 and Wednesday, February 21.
High Point opens the first week of the New Year on the road, traveling up to Radford University to take on the Highlanders in mid-week action. Three days later, the Panthers return to their home court in the Qubein Center to host Gardner-Webb University.
Staying at home the following Wednesday on January 10, High Point hosts UNC Asheville before skipping a weekend matchup and heading down south to Presbyterian College for a mid-week, Wednesday evening game with the Blue Hose on January 17.
The Panthers host Charleston Southern University on January 20 before hitting the road for two back-to-back road games in South Carolina. First taking on USC Upstate on Wednesday, January 24 and then at Winthrop University on Saturday, January 27. HPU closes out January with a game on the 31st against Longwood University.
The month of February kicks off the second half of conference play, starting off with Presbyterian at home on the third. The Panthers then travel to UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb on the seventh and 10th.
Panther fans can spend a night out on Valentine's Day at the Qubein Center watching High Point take on the Spartans of USC Upstate. The Panthers remain home on Saturday, February 17 to host Radford.
HPU finishes out February on the road and at home, first traveling to Charleston Southern on the 24th and then returning home for the final home game of the season against Winthrop on the 28th.
The Panthers end the regular season conference play at Longwood on March 2 before post season play.
