JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- High Point University jumper Alicia Dawson wrapper up her senior season at the NCAA First Round Championships on Saturday evening. Dawson finished her career as a two-time qualifier in the triple jump and a two-time qualifier in the long jump.

After starting Saturday's triple jump competition with a foul on her first run through, Dawson recorded a mark of 12.58m on her second run. She improved her mark to a season best at 12.87m (+2.6) on her third and final attempt to sit at sixth with two flights of competitors remaining. Entering the competition 36th, she finished 22nd overall on Saturday.
