Charlotte, N.C. – High Point women's golfer, Ella Perna was named the Big South Freshman Golfer of the Week (Mar. 30-Apr. 5) as released by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Perna solidifies her third Freshman of the Week honor for the 2022-23 season.
 
Perna finished 17^th overall out of 66 golfers at the Pinetree CC women's collegiate after shooting a seven-over par 223. She scored a 77 on the first round before improving her score to a 73 in round two and another 73 in round three. In the final round she carded a team-high five birdies. Perna helped the team to a sixth place finish out of 11 teams with a score of +44, 908.
