High Point, NC- High Point played the final game of a three game series against Gardner Webb, trying to gain the upper hand after the teams split contests during Saturday's doubleheader.

David Keith took the mound for the High Point to start Sunday's contest, and made it out of the first two innings unscathed. The scoring opened for the Panthers with a Charlie Klingler RBI double in the bottom of the second. With runners at the corners, Miggy Echazarreta doubled, driving in both runners, and extending High Point's lead to 3-0.
The Panthers poured it on in the third inning, scoring six runs and giving High Point a commanding 9-0 lead over Gardner-Webb. Cole Singsank crushed a no-doubter in the fifth inning which gave High Point a double digit lead, 10-0.
Keith was pulled in the sixth inning, after one of his best outings of the season. High Point allowed six runners to score in the sixth after Keith was taken out of the game, which cut the lead to four runs.
In the bottom of the seventh, Blake Sutton hit a home run to put the Panthers up 11-6. In the eighth, Cael Chatham tacked on another run with a solo homer, putting High Point up 12-6. Another run scored on a Singsank sacrifice fly.
Gardner-Webb could not mount a comeback in the ninth down seven, but were able to add a run. With the win this afternoon's, Keith improved his record on the year to 3-7.
