NINETY SIX, S.C. – The High Point women's golf team took advantage of an outstanding individual performance by
Sarah Kahn, who captured the individual title, and finished runner-up with a three-round score of 908 (+44), finishing five shots off the pace by team champion Campbell at the Big South Women's Golf Championship on Friday afternoon at The Links at Stoney Point course in Ninety Six, S.C.
Kahn becomes the third individual in program history to capture the individual crown at the Big South Tournament. She joins AnnMarie Dalton (2008) and Samantha Vodry (2019). Her individual first place finish lands an automatic bid to the NCAA DI Women's Golf Championships.

Through Three Rounds
The graduate student showed her seniority through the three rounds of stroke play, firing on all cylinders, she dominated from the jump and held on to the lead. In her first round, Kahn's 13 straight even pars paved way to an even-par 72 finish in a two-way tie for first place. Moving on to the second round, Kahn remained steady on the front nine scoring another even-par. The back nine witnessed minor ups and downs, finishing with a 2-over 74. In her final round, she took care of business, scoring a 3-under on the front nine following three birdies, to finish with a one-under par 217.
Along with Kahn,
Ella Perna and
Danielle Suh finished in the top 10 out of 50 golfers. Both remained steady throughout the three days, holding spots in the top 10. Perna had a solid performance in the final round, shooting a two-under par 224. After carding an even par on the front nine, her two birdies brought her under par on holes No. 11 and 17 to bump her up six places in the rankings to fourth.
Over the three rounds, Suh recorded two birdies in every round, carding a 2-over par 74 in the first round, a 3-over par 75 in the second round and a 5-over par 77 in the final round. She finished out the week shooting par or better on 10 of her 12 holes, with her two birdies on holes, No. 10 and 17.
The final member of the Panthers squad that contributed to the overall team score,
Ana-Elena Kusters finished out the week in 37
th place. Her five birdies and 25 pars contributed to an overall score of 28-over par 244.
Vynie Chen and
Freja Ekman participated as alternates throughout the week.
All-Tournament Team
By finishing in the top five, Kahn and Perna were both named to the Big South All-Tournament team.

th beginning at 8:00 am. The winner of the match play will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA regionals which are held, May 8-10
