Site: Five Star Stadium
Score: High Point 6, Mercer 22
Records: High Point (2-7), Mercer (8-2)
Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell: "I really liked the way we came out today, but we didn't sustain that level of speed or execution and as we've seen all season, against top teams, we have to put 60 minutes together. Credit to Mercer for showing up today, and taking advantage of us from all angles of the game.
"We have work to do and I look forward to getting home safely, recovering and getting back to work quickly with my crew."
Loescher was on the board first for the Panthers with a wrap-around the cage to secure her 200th point in the Purple and White. Loescher has now scored in every game so far this season.
Sophomore attacker Jordan Miles also has scored in seven consecutive games, as she netted High Point's second goal. Kay Rosselli and Mandy Brockamp followed the effort with goals of their own.
Just before the half, Grace Bruce ripped one to make it 10-5 and Loescher would end the Panther scoring with her second of the afternoon late in the third. Ava Scudillo caused a team-high four turnovers, while Caitlyn Baehr led HPU with four groundballs plus three caused turnovers.
UP NEXT: The Panthers welcome Furman University Wednesday, April 5 back at Vert Stadium, beginning at 5 p.m.
