"Great win again tonight, it's always good to get a lot of guys on the field," said head coach
Jon Torpey. "(Queens) is a good program, I respect what Coach Chris Panos is building down there, I think they're going to be a powerhouse in a few years. They competed all night and so did our guys, it was just a great 60-minute effort and it's always nice to see some of our younger guys compete and really experience no drop off whatsoever."

High Point was the first to strike with a goal in its first possession. After Hoben won the opening face-off, the Panther offense worked quickly and Ippolito scored within the first minute of play.

After a bit of a dry period throughout the middle of the quarter, HPU closed out the final six minutes with four goals.
Colin Cooke started the run with an unassisted goal before VanOverbeke found Mayea in the middle of the field to make it a 3-0 game.

Queens broke up the run with its first goal of the night, but HPU would finish off the quarter with two more goals from
Jaxson Lamb and
Jack Sawyer while VanOverbeke tallied another assist in the run.

HPU started the second quarter picking up where it left off, scoring three goals in a row and opening with a 6-1 run to take an 11-2 lead with 4:14 remaining in the half. Cooke tallied his second goal of the night just 40 seconds into the period before Sawyer tacked on another two minutes later.
Isiah Moran-Weekes notched his first goal on a feed from Mayea with over 10 minutes to play in the half.

The Royals scored their second goal with 7:42 left in the half, but Ippolito, VanOverbeke, and
Nick Murphy posted goals in less than two minutes of game clock to keep HPU safely ahead. After two more Queens goals, Moran-Weekes found the net again with 14 seconds left in period to give HPU the 12-4 halftime lead.

The Panther offense also set the tone in the second half, scoring the first five goals. Mayea had two in the run while
Henry Mudlaff notched his first of the night and second of the season. VanOverbeke also tallied three assists in the run.

HPU held the Royals to one goal in the third quarter at the 4:06 mark before adding two more to the Panther cause to close out the period.
Caison Dillon tallied his second goal of the season before
Collin Rovere posted his first collegiate goal.

High Point coasted the rest of the way with scores from
Matt Lee, VanOverbeke, and a one-handed goal at the crease from
