CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two High Point University women's track and field athletes have received Big South weekly awards. Mackenzie Horn was named the female field athlete of the week for the first time this season while Anjali Mead was named the freshman of the week for the second week in a row and third time this season. 

Mackenzie Horn -- Big South Female Field Athlete of the Week
Horn posted a season-best mark of 4.25m in the pole vault at the Doc Hale Elite Meet on Saturday. Her mark is the second best by a Panther this spring after her sister, Sydney, posted a mark of 4.45m at the VT Invite. 

Anjali Mead -- Big South Female Freshman of the Week
Mead earned her third freshman of the week nod after posting a career-best 4.00m mark at the Doc Hale Elite Meet.
