SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Five Panthers scored in double figures for the second time this season as the High Point University women's basketball team picked up another Big South win on Saturday afternoon.
Jenson Edwards poured in a game-high 20 points on a near-perfect shooting day, finishing 6-of-7 from the floor, 4-of-4 from deep, and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.
Jordan Edwards added a healthy line of seven points, eight assists, and three steals.

HPU jumped out to an 8-4 lead with three-pointers from
Nakyah Terrell and
Claire Wyatt while
Jenson Edwards added a pull up jumper as well.
After Upstate pulled within 13-10, High Point closed the quarter on a 17-6 run. Terrell added two more three-pointers and finished the quarter perfect from deep while
Jordan Edwards dished out three assists in the stretch.
Jenson Edwards scored seven of HPU's last 11 points over the final 3:42 in the period.
Terrell opened the second quarter with another layup before the Spartans knocked down two free throws, leaving the Panthers ahead, 32-18. Another 14-0 run for HPU over a majority of the quarter put even more space between HPU and Upstate.
Shakira Baskerville knocked down a free throw and three-pointer before
Jenson Edwards added two more from deep.
Jordan Edwards had three consecutive assists before adding a floater to the High Point cause and helping HPU to a 46-18 lead with 1:46 remaining in the half.
Upstate broke up the streak with a jumper and two free throws, but Terrell knocked down her fourth triple of the day to extend the lead and help the Panthers to a 49-24 lead at the half. HPU forced seven turnovers and picked up four steals in the second quarter along, capitalizing for 14 points off Spartan turnovers.
High Point opened the second half with layups from Wyatt and Terrell, but the Spartans went on to score 10 of the next 12 points to pull back within 55-34. The Panthers went on to score the next 10, on three-pointers from
Skyler Curran and
Jenson Edwards while both Edwards added layups. Curran closed out the quarter with back-to-back triples, including one at the buzzer.
HPU looked to the bench in the fourth quarter as
Teegan Pifher scored her first points of the day to give HPU the 74-42 lead with 6:33 remaining. Pifher added two free throws and assist to finish with four points.
