DAVIDSON, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team lost to Davidson as they fell 77-40 on Friday night.

Head Coach Chelsea Banbury: "Davidson is obviously a good team. They played well together, had great effort on defense, and took us out of what we wanted to do. On our side, we have to play with more effort, play together, and better than we have been. We are going to take this one and work on us to get better."
Ana Hager led the team in points as she did a great job of driving the paint to get buckets. Hager had 13 points on the floor with four rebounds and two assists.
Callie Scheier and
Lauren Bevis tallied for six points. Scheier started the scoring for HPU in the first quarter as she drained a deep three. Bevis knocked down two threes for her points.
Nakyah Terrell fought for seven rebounds as
Faith Price brought in six.
Up Next: High Point will have a week off before returning to the Qubein Center to take on Norfolk State. Tip is set for 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18.
