HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point Panther baseball team closed out the home portion of the regular season schedule with a 16-1 loss to Campbell on senior day.
Peyton Carr reached base three times while
Javon Fields scored the lone run for HPU.

Prior to the game, HPU honored eight seniors for their careers in the Purple and White, including:
Parker Dean,
Dylan Decker,
Cameron Irvine,
Jack Nathan,
Brady Pearre,
Reid Viar,
Justin Wilkins, and
Sam Zayicek.
High Point was the first to put a run up on the board in the bottom of the first inning as Fields and Carr led off with singles before
Charlie Klingler moved both runners into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt.
Adam Stuart's ground out to the right side scored Fields to give the Panthers the early 1-0 advantage.
By the third inning, the Camel bats had gained momentum and the visitors put up multi-run innings in five of the final seven frames.
Up Next: High Point closes out the regular season on the road with their final midweek at Liberty on Tuesday night before closing out conference contests at Presbyterian. First pitch in Lynchburg is set for 6 p.m. on May 17
