The Big South conference released their 2021-22 women's basketball all-conference awards as announced by the conference on Tuesday (February 28th) afternoon.

Jenson Edwards was named Second Team All-Conference after finishing as HPU's leading scorer this season, averaging 11.6 points per contest on a well-balanced Panther squad. She poured in a career-high 24 points against USC Upstate on February 12^th. She also finished the regular season with 178 defensive rebounds, good for second in the conference. She led HPU with 33.4 minutes played per game and shot over 41 percent from the floor to lead HPU. Edwards finished the regular season with 78 assists and 40 steals. She also tallied a team-high four double-doubles this season against King (Tenn.), at Gardner-Webb, against USC Upstate, and at Charleston Southern.

Nakyah Terrell was named to the All-Freshman Team after she had a breakout freshman season for HPU as she played in 29 games and made 12 starts. She averaged 7.9 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game while tallying 52 assists and 21 steals. Terrell was named the Big South freshman of the week three times this season. She recorded her first career double-double against Wake Forest, pouring in 21 points and 11 rebounds. She also used a 14-point fourth quarter at Campbell to finish with a game-high 20 points and six rebounds.

Callie Scheier recevied All-Academic honors from the conference as well. As a human relations major, she has posted a cumulative 3.87 GPA and recorded a 4.0 semester GPA twice. She has been named a Millis-Scholar athlete every semester so far at HPU. On the court, Scheier has played in all 29 games for the Panthers while making 21 starts. She has tallied a team-high 45 made three-pointers while shooting over 34 percent from deep. Scheier has also recorded a team-high 42 steals to go along with 41 assists. She scored a Division I career-high 23 points at USC Upstate on January 12th as she was 5-of-10 from the three-point line as well as 8-for-8 from the charity stripe.
