Site: Qubein Center
Score: High Point 50, USC Upstate 55
Records: High Point (24-5, 13-3), USC Upstate (11-19, 6-10)

Head Coach Chelsea Banbury: "Hats off to Upstate, they came in and played good basketball. They're defending and making you work for everything that you can get and they executed at a high level. They came in and beat us, just point blank."

High Point worked to find rhythm in the opening half and went into the break trailing 26-19 after a low-scoring first two quarters. The Panthers stayed within reach through three quarters, continuing to battle on the defensive end while looking to close the gap.

HPU turned in its best stretch of the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring USC Upstate 19-7. Peyton Gerdes provided a spark off the bench with 10 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while Macy Spencer scored eight of her 18 points in the final quarter to bring the Panthers within three in the final minute.

Aaliyah Collins added 11 points and five steals as High Point forced 25 turnovers and created multiple late scoring opportunities. The Panthers had a look to tie in the closing seconds but were unable to convert.

HPU finished the regular season with a 24-5 overall record and a 13-3 record during conference play.
