The High Point University Men's soccer team (3-1) (1-0) will welcome the Radford Highlanders to Vert Stadium on Sunday. The Panthers have only conceded two goals through four games of play. MD Myers leads HPU in scoring with six goals through the early season. Myers is the reigning Top-Drawer Soccer Player of the Week and Big South Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

House Call
Myers has been on fire to start the season. The Delran, New Jersey native is ranked fifth in the nation in goals per game. Myers currently has six goals through HPU's first four games.
The Week that Was
Myers has earned national media attention for the second week in a row as College Soccer News named Myers to the Men's National Team of the Week. Myers scored two goals in the game against Wofford last Wednesday night in the 2-0. Myers has six goals on the season. His two goals against Wofford marked the third straight game with a brace for the sophomore. This is the second consecutive week Myers has won the honor of Big South Offensive Player of the Week.
Limiting Chances
Over four games the Panthers have only allowed two goals. HPU opponents have only had four corner kicks total after four contests. The Panther defense is holding opponents to a .275 shooting percentage with only eight of the opponents' shots registered being on goal.
Going Through Changes
We will no longer travel to Presbyterian on Sunday 3/7. Instead, we'll host Radford at Vert Stadium on Sunday, March 7th at 5 pm in a Big South match-up, originally scheduled for March 22nd. An update on the game vs PC will come later.
Bring 'em Back
High Point seniors Mason Marcey & Nick Phipps announced on social media earlier this week that they are coming back for the Fall of 2021 season. This means the Panthers will return the entire roster from this spring & add a Top 25 recruiting class into the mix.
Across the Bench
- The Highlanders are coming off of a strong 4-1 win over VMI on Thursday moving them to 2-2 on the season.
- Radford finished the 2019 season with a 5-11-2 record. Their season came to an end after a 2-1 quarterfinal loss to Gardner-Webb in the Big South tournament.
- Radford is led by head coach Chris Barrett who was promoted to Interim head coach in November 2020.
