HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The High Point University baseball team is recognizing 37 student-athletes as Millis Scholar-Athletes for their performance inside the classroom, which comes out to be nearly the entire Panthers' roster.

"The Millis Scholar-Athlete program is named in honor of High Point University friends and supporters Mrs. Jesse E. Millis and Mr. James H. Millis," HPU Athletic Director
Dan Hauser said. "During their lives, Jim and Jess made an incredible impact on High Point University and many other worthwhile causes in the city of High Point. They were passionate about High Point Athletics, attending many HPU events, and making the lead gift to the Millis Athletic and Convocation Center. The Millis Family legacy of philanthropy and good works continues through their four children."
