The High Point University Men's soccer team (5-1) (3-0) travels to Rock Hill to face Winthrop on Wednesday for HPU's second straight road contest out of what will be four straight road games. HPU is coming off an impressive 1-0 win against Campbell Sebastian Chalbaud provided the difference-maker in the 25th minute to put the Panthers up 1-0 in the first, High Point held Campbell's high-powered offense to just 4 shots on goal in the victory. High Point is the first team to defeat Campbell at home since October of 2018.

With the conference win, the Panthers improve to 29-3-3 in Big South play since 2016. The Panthers are now 3-0 in Big South play with wins over Gardner-Webb, Radford, and now Campbell.
Keep Holden' On
Trent went all 90 minutes in a 1-0 shutout win against league favorite Campbell, for his 3rd shutout of the season. Trent stopped 4 shots, including two-point blank saves & collected 100% of crosses he attempted to claim according to instat. Trent was selected as a member of this week's Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week. He is the second Panther to be chosen to a Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week joining Myers
House Call
Myers has been on fire to start the season. The Delran, New Jersey native is tied for second in the nation in goals per game. Myers currently has eight goals through HPU's first six games. Myers has scored braces in four out of six games.
Haines on Last Time
"We were immense tonight; the guys gave everything they had, Coach Zach Haines said after the 1-0 win over Campbell. "They knew it was going to be a fight, they knew it was going to be a challenge defensively because of the way Campbell plays particularly at home with lots of numbers forward, direct balls in the box. It was a full team effort of everyone willing to do whatever it took to get the result, so I could not be prouder of the group."

The game against PC scheduled for 3/7 has been rescheduled the Panthers will now play PC in Clinton on March 24th.
Bring 'em Back
High Point seniors Mason Marcey & Nick Phipps announced on social media last week that they are coming back for the Fall of 2021 season. This means the Panthers will return the entire roster from this spring & add a Top 25 recruiting class into the mix.
