The High Point University women's soccer team will be returning to Vert Stadium for the first time in 464 days as they take on UNCG on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Panther Notes
- Head Coach Brandi Fontaine is entering her third season as the head coach of the Panthers. She enters the season after being named Big South head coach of the year in 2019.
- Some changes were made in the offseason as coach Chris Fox will be taking on his new role of Associate Head Coach. Coach Tyler Schatz will be on the staff for his first season as an assistant coach after spending the 2019 season at Northern Arizona University and the previous six seasons at VCU.
- The Panthers have been picked as favorites in the Big South Preseason Poll. This first place preseason selection is the first for HPU since 2018.
- The Panthers have earned back-to-back Big South Freshman of the year honors at the end of the last two seasons. Those recipients are Sam Gerhart who was awarded in 2019 and Skyler Prillaman who was selected in 2018.
- The Panthers are coming off of a 2019 regular-season title after going 11 straight games without losing. The season came to an end in the Big South semifinals when HPU fell 1-0 to Gardner-Webb.
Across the Bench
- UNCG finished the 2019 season with a 10-8-2 record. The Spartans fell in the SoCon semifinals to Furman by a score of 1-0.
- Head Coach Michael Coll is entering his seventh season as head coach of the Spartans. Coll has led the team to win two of the last three SoCon Tournament Championships.
- Joining Coll on the coaching staff will be assistant coach Jeff Gross as he enters his second season on the Spartans staff along with assistant coach Stefani Workman who is entering her fourth season.
Up Next: High Point will travel to Rock Hill, S.C. in their first road contest of the 2021 season to take on the Winthrop Eagles. Kickoff is set for Sunday, February 21 at 1 p.m.
