Panther Particulars
The Panthers got out to a slow start in the first quarter, trailing the Flames 15-1 until Edwards scored HPU's first field goal of the game with 2:25 remaining in the period.
Courtney Meadows sparked a short run for HPU in the second quarter when she found the lane for layups on back-to-back possessions to pull within 24-9 after the Panthers only managed five first-quarter points.
The significant deficit from early in the game plagued HPU as they trailed 39-24 at halftime.Â
The Panthers unfortunately could not string together a run in the second half that would have rallied the team for a comeback and put pressure on the Flames.
Up Next: HPU will return to Qubein Arena on December 9th when they play host to King.
