SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The High Point University women's basketball team fell to Wofford in a 74-52 ballgame.
Jenson Edwards led the Panthers with 21 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range.
Jaden Wrightsell chipped in 12 points and led the team with seven rebounds.

Chelsea Banbury: "I give Wofford a lot of credit. They played hard and executed very well tonight. We need to clean some things up and finish a little better and we will be in good shape."

Panther Particulars
The HPU offense struggled early, allowing Wofford to get out to a 8-1 lead until
Jenson Edwards forced a steal and converted a layup and
Callie Scheier hit the Panthers' first three-pointer of the night on the next possession to pull within 8-6.

With the defense honing in on Edwards after eight first-quarter point,
Jaden Wrightsell started to heat up inside working around defenders for layups.

For the final three minutes of the half, the teams traded baskets and Wofford took a 35-27 advantage into the halftime break.

HPU came out strong in the third quarter as
Jenson Edwards made a layup and sunk another three-pointer to pull the Panthers within 35-33, forcing a Wofford timeout early in the half.

But Wofford would keep HPU at bay, outscoring the visitors 19-12 in the third quarter and 20-13 in the final period.
