KANSAS CITY, Mo. --High Point University men's basketball guard John-Michael Wright was selected to the NABC Player Development Coalition Roster on Monday (August 17). The NABC Player Development Coalition is a diverse collection of Division I men's basketball student-athletes that will provide valuable perspective and feedback on college basketball issues.
 
"It is a great honor to be selected into the NABC Player Development Coalition," Wright said. "It's great that the NCAA is allowing players to express their feelings and concerns for the future of college basketball. We are involved in a big part of history and being a part of the conversation that concerns all basketball athletes is a huge honor. We are excited to tackle future decision making with the NCAA and create positive change. We are committed to open and honest communication between the player development coalition, the NABC, and the NCAA as we establish policies and protocols that will enhance collegiate athletes now and in the future. Wright will be representing High Point alongside players from Colorado, Duke, Gonzaga, Harvard, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, Syracuse, TCU, and Villanova. Wright is one of four sophomores on this 11-man roster.
 
Wright and the coalition will meet quarterly and will have regular opportunities to address the NABC Board of Directors and NCAA committees. As part of the coalition, Wright will be provided with numerous professional and personal development experiences.
