CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- High Point University women's golf senior Samantha Vodry was named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Monday (April 20). This is Vodry's third consecutive season being named to the Big South All-Academic Team.
 
The 2018-19 Big South Championship Medalist, Vodry headed into her senior campaign ranked first in program history in career birdies (245), eagles (eight), scoring average (75.91), and in par or better rounds (16). Through eight tournaments in 2019-20 she was averaging 74.17 per round with four-top ten finishes, including co-medalist at the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sept. 21-22).
 
A psychology major at HPU, Vodry is also a four-time Millis Scholar-Athlete and was one of 59 student-athletes to be honored (Feb. 20) with a perfect 4.0 PA during one or both of the last two semesters.
