HIGH POINT, N.C. – Thursday afternoon, the Big South released the preseason poll for the 2019-20 Men's Indoor Track & Field season. The Panthers were selected third in the poll voted on by the conference's coaches. The full poll can be seen below.
High Point returns with a veteran group for this indoor season, including
Hocine Bouchrak who earned a pair of third-place finishes at last year's Big South Indoor Championships, recording a 4:09.99 mile and an 8:37.74 in the 3000m.
Senior pole vaulter
Carter Clasper also returns for the Panthers after clearing 4.95m at the Darius Dixon Memorial and the Big South Championship, where he took home the conference title. Clasper also looks to set a new lifetime best after clearing 5.05m at the Doc Hale VT Elite last February.
Sophomore sprinter and long jumper
Daniel Bogle also returns after winning Big South Freshman of the Year last indoor season.
