The High Point University men's soccer team heads to Buies Creek to take on the Fighting Camels of Campbell University in the 2019 Big South Championship Game on Sunday, Nov. 17. The Panthers are in search for their first Big South Tournament Championship in program history.
Matchup History
- The Panthers hold a 7-12-5 mark in the all-time series against the Fighting Camels. The two teams met earlier this season in a game that ultimately decided the regular-season title. Campbell won 2-1. Jonathan Bolanos was the lone HPU scorer. Bolanos' goal tied the game at one. The Fighting Camels would find a second goal at the end of the first half and go on to win.
- The last time the Panthers played in Buies Creek, HPU and Campbell played to a 1-1 draw.

- The Panthers have appeared in the Big South Championship game four times and seeking its first Big South Championship.
- HPU defeated Gardner-Webb 3-2 in the Big South Semifinals to advance to their fifth Big South Championship game. The game was tied twice, High Point never trailed in the contest.
- Ilias Kosmidis scored the first two goals for the Panthers vs GWU giving him a team-best 8 goals on the year.
- Alex Abril scored the game-winner against the Runnin' Bulldogs, which put him first in that category with 4 game-winning goals on the season.
- The Freshman Jordan Lonchar has done a great job setting up his teammates all season, he leads the Panthers in assists with four.
- The semifinal win gave High Point 13 wins on the season which, put the Panthers in elite company as only eight teams have won 13 games or more in the 2018 season and then again in 2019. This list includes Seattle, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Indiana, UCF, Rhode Island, and Saint Mary's.

- Campbell comes into the championship matchup following a 3-0 semifinal victory over Presbyterian College. The Fighting Camels are undefeated in Big South play this season.
