"I thought we played really well in the first half, I thought we were balanced, I thought we did a nice job on both sides of the ball. We scored a great goal and I don't think we gave them much in terms of opportunities." Head coach Zach Haines said. "I am really pleased with the first half, we went into the second half knowing that they would come up and push numbers forward, be very aggressive, and ask some questions of us especially in behind and getting balls into the box. They did that, they put pressure on us but I thought we managed the game extremely well, we were organized, we worked with one another extremely well in terms of our communication and we didn't give them much in terms of opportunities. It was a professional performance in the second half just knowing we were not quite able to get a hold of the game and gain a lot of possession so we needed to be really solid and I thought we carried that out well."
It was a highly competitive contest, this was showcased throughout the game, but it was especially noticeable in the start of the first half as both sides battled for possession. The Panthers took 2 shots before Jordan Lonchar found the back of the net for the Panthers. Lonchar scored in the 27th minute he was assisted by Alex Abril and Ilias Kosmidis.
