- HPU saw its season-high three match win streak end last Tuesday (Oct. 8) after a 5-0 loss to ACC foe No. 6 Wake Forest. Prior to the setback, the Panthers earned wins over Winthrop, UNC Asheville and UNCG with a scoring margin of 7-3.
- After a two-goal performance against UNC Asheville last week that included the game winner, and a game-deciding assist against UNCG on Saturday, Alex Abril was named this week's Big South Offensive Player of the Week. Abril had an assist or goal in the three-straight Panther wins.
- Freshman Jordan Lonchar received Big South Freshman of the Week honors after scoring a goal and recording an assist against UNC Asheville, He also recorded the game winning goal against UNCG on last Saturday (Oct. 5). Lonchar saw his three-match scoring streak come to a close on Tuesday, while leading the team with four on the year. His three game-winning goals rank second in the conference.
- Redshirt senior keeper Keegan Meyer ranks third in the conference with a 1.27 goals against average and third in save percentage (.745). Meyer has recorded 41 saves on the campaign which rank second amongst Big South netminders.

- Gardner-Web heads into the weekend matchup riding a two-match winning streak.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs currently sit tied atop the Big South Conference standings with a 3-0 conference record alongside Campbell. High Point and Presbyterian also hold undefeated Big South records at 2-0.
- GWU is led by Oskar Wang who has registered 14 points (6g, 2a) on the year. He is tied for second in the Big South in points and third in goals.
- Daniel Husa has appeared in 11 games in net for Gardner-Webb, sporting a 1.81 goals against average and recording two shutouts.
