Panthers Make Trip Up The Mountain For Conference Contest

HIGH POINT, NC- Coming off a 2-0 home victory in their conference opener, High Point travels to Asheville to play in their first Big South road game of the year.

 MATCHUP HISTORY
• High Point holds a 22-6-2 all-time record against the Bulldogs, winning the last contest between these two in double overtime last season, 2-1. Current Panther Ryan Inman had a goal in that contest.

Panther Notes
• High Point had their second multi-goal game of the regular season in their last contest against Winthrop, with Ryan Inman and Jordan Lonchar both recording goals.
• After scoring his second goal of the season on Saturday, Jordan Lonchar is now tied with Siggi Benonysson for the team-lead.
Alex Abril recorded his first assist of the year against Winthrop, getting the helpers on Jordan Lonchar's game winner. 5 Panthers have now recorded assists this season. 
• High Point's defense continues to play strong defense in front of Keegan Meyer, as the team allowed zero shots on goal in their last game. Meyer now leads the Big South in save percentage, stopping 81.8% of the shots he has faced.

 The Bulldogs 
• UNC-Asheville is also coming off a win in their Big South opener, defeating USC Upstate 1-0 on Saturday. 
• The Bulldogs are led offensively by junior Tyson Hichman, who has 5 goals this season, which is second-most in the Big South.
• Keeper Jarrett Payne has played a crucial role for the Bulldogs, as he leads the conference in saves (99) and saves per game (7.62), and is second-highest in save percentage (79.8%).

• High Point will return home on Saturday to host UNCG to a non-conference match, with kickoff set for 4 pm at Vert Stadium.
