HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University volleyball team travels to Spartanburg, S.C. to open conference play against USC Upstate Tuesday at 6 p.m.

This will be the first time Panthers have faced the Spartans in program history.

On the Panthers
• The Panthers split a pair of matches at the Pitt Invite over the weekend. The Purple & White won their first match Saturday 3-0 over Liberty and fell to No. 9 Pitt 3-1 in the second game.
• Senior
Molly Livingston leads the team with a .320 hitting percentage and is averaging 2.69 kills per set.Â
• Sophomore
Abby Bottomley leads HPU 5.74 digs per set, which ranks first in the Big South Conference and eighth in the NCAA.

On the Spartans
• USC Upstate brings a 3-10 record into the match after losing to Georgia Southern and defeating Savannah State twice at the GATA Challenge in Statesboro, Ga.Â
• Sophomore Lily Dempsey leads the Spartans with 2.07 kills per set, while senior Madison Haake is tops on the team in hitting percentage at .280.
• Senior Payton Duncan leads USC Upstate with 3.32 digs per set.
