HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University volleyball team plays a pair of top-10 squads Sunday (Sept. 2) at the HotelRed Invitational in Madison, Wis. The Panthers (1-3) will take on No. 2 Texas (2-0) at 2 p.m. before facing No. 8 Wisconsin (2-0) at 7 p.m. Eastern.
 
Both matches on Sunday will be available on the Big Ten Network Plus subscription service. On Saturday night, Texas and Wisconsin play at 8 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
 
On the Panthers
• The Panthers picked up their first win of the season Friday night, defeated Jacksonville, 3-1, in Kennesaw, Ga. 
• Senior Molly Livingston is leading the team with a .337 hitting percentage and is averaging 2.47 kills per set.
• Sophomore Abby Bottomley leads HPU with 5.87 digs per set.
 
On the Longhorns
• Texas defeated Oregon, 3-1, and Florida, 3-2, in its first weekend of the season.
• Micaya White leads the Longhorns with 3.33 kills per set
• Texas went 27-3 and advanced to the NCAA regional final last season
 
On the Badgers
• Wisconsin defeated a pair of ACC opponents, North Carolina (3-0) and Florida State (3-1) last weekend
• Madison Duello and Grace Loberg are both averaging 3.14 kills per set to lead the Badgers.
• Wisconsin went 22-10 and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last season.
 
Up Next
• The Panthers travel to Villanova, Pa., for a tournament Sept. 7-8. HPU plays Temple on Friday at 4:30 p.m., before taking on host Villanova on Sunday at 2 p.m., followed by Utah at 7 p.m.
