On the Panthers
• HPU returns eight starters and 18 letterwinners from last year's championship squad, including four First Team All-Conference selections
• Keeper Keegan Meyer returns for 2018 after setting a program record in GAA (0.73), and recording eight clean sheets
• Leading goal scorer Jonathan Bolanos will suit up for his junior year after seven tallies in 2017
• First Team All-Conference selections Rashid Tetteh and Johnny Fenwick will anchor the back line for Big South Coach of the Year EJ O'Keeffe, as the pair logged a combined 3,525 minutes, while helping their team to hold opponents to a goal or less in 17 competitions last year
• The Panthers faced some top competition in this year's preseason, dropping a pair of 2-0 decisions to a Charlotte side that reached last year's C-USA final and a UNCW squad that advanced to the second round of the 2017 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship tournament

On the Terriers
• Wofford is coming off one of its worst seasons in the past decade, after producing just four wins in 2017
• With 25 returners and four of their top-five point-getters coming back for 2018, the Terriers were recently ranked fifth overall in this year's SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll
• With six goals and 13 points overall, junior midfielder Lucas Altman is Wofford's top offensive producer from last season, and was the lone Terrier to earn Preseason All-Conference nods

Series Notes:
• High Point currently trails its all-time series with Wofford with a 4-5 record, but has not played the Terriers in the regular season since 2008
• HPU has not lost a season opener since 2014, and has not lost a road opener since 2013
• The Panthers are 25-26-2 against current Southern Conference members, but see that record improve to 12-1-1 against those same teams when looking exclusively at the previous nine years

Coming Up Next:
• The Panthers get back on the road this Monday to faceoff with Davidson at 7 p.m.
• HPU is 2-3-3 against the Bobcats all-time, but is unbeaten against the side in their last three meetings (1-0-2)
