NORFOLK, Va.—The No. 25 High Point University women's lacrosse team picked up a 15-9 road win at Old Dominion Wednesday afternoon (March 21) at the R.L. Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk.

High Point (5-2) and ODU (1-6) were tied, 5-5, at the halftime and the Monarchs took a 6-5 lead 29 seconds into the second half, but three goals in a row by senior
Darla Poulin gave HPU the lead for good at 8-6 with 18:34 remaining. The Panthers ended up finishing the game on a 10-3 run.

HPU led in shots, 36-19, and ground balls, 12-9, while the Monarchs led at the draw circle, 14-12, and in saves, 7-1.

"We got off to a slow start, but I'm proud of the resilience our team showed in getting us on track," HPU head coach
Lyndsey Boswell. "Credit to ODU for showing up ready to play today. We are excited to get back to work this week and prepare for another great team."

Ashley Britton tallied a goal and a pair of assists.

Casey Kotchenreuter picked up a team-high three ground balls.

It was the first meeting between the two programs.
