High Point University Rowing Club started their spring competition season Saturday with an indoor rowing competition, the 124C Erg Sprints, hosted by the High Point Greensboro Rowing Club.  
 
HPU entered 8 events and came home with 5 medals.  Racing against clubs from NC State and Wake Forest, HPUrowing came home with 2 Gold and 3 Silver medals.  In the grueling 2,000meter competition four of our eight competitors also achieved personal best times for their events.  
 
Congratulations to: Jocelyn Ganzert, Gold Women's Varsity Lightweight;  Emma Hudson, Gold Women's Varsity;  Nathan Grinalds, Silver, Men's Varsity Heat 1 and Silver overall;  Wesley Whan, Silver, Men's Varsity Heat 2;  Julia Debecka, Silver, Women's Novice;  Kelly Rickard, Silver, Women's Cox.    
 
Congratulations also to Maddie Zimmerman, 4th place Women's Novice and Avery Mastrello, 4th place Men's Novice and a personal best time by over 5 seconds.  Also attending for the team as coxswains and support; Katie Perkins, Katie Godfrey, and Alex Shashkin.
