CHARLOTTE, N.C.—High Point University women's golf freshman Sarah Kahn has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Thursday (Oct. 25).
 
Kahn led the Panthers with a second-place finish at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational in Rehoboth Beach, Del., shooting a 5-over 218, which is the seventh-best 54-hole total in program history. On the first day, Kahn rounds of even 71 and 2-under 69 to tie the school record for a 36-hole total of 140.  Her second round 69 is tied for the fifth-best round in program history.
 
This is the second weekly honor for Kahn this season after earning Golfer of the Week on Oct. 5.
