High Point Notes:
• Last time out, High Point dropped a 1-0 decision at home against UNCG. The Panthers recorded a season-high 13 shots, but ceded the game-winning tally on a header in the 74th minute.
• Junior goalkeeper Emily Lyon earned her first start since Sep. 11, 2015 and made five saves in the first half. She was relieved by Alex Hank in the second half, who made one save.
• The Panthers have been outshot in the six five games of the season, 119-39. HPU has allowed at least 20 shots in each of the last five games, three of which have come against SEC schools.
• HPU has scored just two goals in its first six games, the lowest total through six contests since 2010 (1 goal). That year, HPU ended up winning the Big South and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
• The Panthers have been held scoreless in three straight games and have not scored since Paige Rombach's penalty kick  in the win over Ohio, a stretch of 341:26.
• The Purple & White have 15 seniors on the team, which accounts for nearly half of the 32-member roster. The senior class has won 39 games in three-plus years and needs six wins to become the all-time winningest class in HPU Div. I history.

Auburn Notes:
• Auburn is 2-3-1 on the season after getting swept at the Duke Nike Classic last weekend by No. 9 North Carolina (5-0) and No. 13 Duke (2-0).
• The Tigers have taken care of business at home, going undefeated in three matches against South Alabama (3-0), Lipscomb (2-2), and North Dakota (2-0).
• Auburn advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament last season, where they fell to eventual National Champion USC.
• The Tigers were picked sixth in the preseason SEC poll after returning six starters from last year's 17-7-0 (9-2-0 SEC) squad.

Series Notes:
• The Panthers and Tigers are meeting for just the second time, with the only other occasion coming in 2012.
• That season, No. 25 Auburn scored a pair of goals in each half to earn a 4-1 victory. HPU outshot Auburn 5-3 in the final 20 minutes of the match, picking up a goal from Becca Hemby.
• This is the fourth matchup against SEC teams for High Point this season. The Panthers have dropped decisions at Georgia (1-0), No. 3 South Carolina (3-0), and Ole Miss (5-0).
• High Point is 0-6-2 all-time against members of the SEC.
